Just a few things about me:
- I am a Christ-follower. When I was 5 years old, I accepted the free gift Jesus offers: to wash away my sin and give me a new life and a new purpose. I currently attend a Baptist Church, where I play the piano, learn from God's Word, and enjoy my church family! I'm currently taking a break from my Children's Church ministry ~ We all need to rejuvenate from time to time!
- I have three sisters: Lindsey, Laura (AKA: Helen, Aunt Freddy), and Leah (AKA: Aunt Slappy). We're all very different, but I wouldn't trade my sisters for the world!
- My parents have been married for over 30 years, and they are the best parents in the world! Their love and example are two of the things I am most thankful for in life.
- My two nieces and one nephew (Bethany, Alexxa, & William) are basically my whole world! I adore them to pieces!
- Three of my favorite things are good coffee, great pizza, and freshly baked glazed doughnuts. Just not all at the same time.
- If I could snap my fingers and do/be anything, I would travel the world as an airline stewardess during the Jet Age (late 1950's-early 1960's).
- I like to pretend that I'm a runner. Someday maybe I actually WILL be one, but for now, I just run when the urge arises, and enjoy every minute!
- I also like to pretend I'm a photographer. Maybe someday I'll have more of a side business, but for now, I just love taking pictures for those who ask.
- I recently started a new job selling insurance for State Farm. No, I haven't met Jake.
- I hate worms, spiders, almost all seafood, and the Joker from Batman.
- I have one of the most diverse music libraries of anyone I know. I LOVE music!
- I'm a bit of a TV junkie. I love to sit down in front of a good show with my crochet hook and yarn (I make baby booties for the crisis pregnancy center in Des Moines).
